Lisa Marie Carilli-McCord

I have been working in the field of early childhood for the past 40 years. All of the settings have been on college campuses; UW Stevens Point, Madison College (Truax site) and here at the Waisman Early Childhood Program for the past 35 years.

I started here at WECP as a student teacher and focused on teaching children my first semester and administration my second semester. I was hired right away and taught for the past 34 years but did participate in various administrative tasks. This past year I became the associate director.

In spring of 2020 I received the Martha Casey Award from the UW-Madison for Dedication and Excellence.

On weekends my husband (Randy) and I enjoy spending time at cars shows and swap meets in our 1956 Ford Thunderbird. We have two male tabby cats that supply much laughter and enjoyment. They are my boys and are very spoiled. They so like when I am at home staying still curled up with a blanket and a good book.

I also enjoy working in the yard (gardening-flowers), sitting on the deck watching birds or by the firepit.

You will soon find out that I am a huge Bucky Badger and UW Marching Band fan!
