WECP also serves as a learning program for UW Madison and surrounding Madison, post-secondary programs. We are honored to serve approximately 20-40 students per semester in a variety of capacities: observations, research studies, internships, and volunteer opportunities. We support several different departments including, Education, Special Education, Rehabilitation Psychology, Occupational and Physical Therapy, Human Development and Child and Family Studies to name a few. WECP team members serve as cooperating teachers/staff throughout the academic year and guide students in understanding child development, early childhood education and inclusion practices. In addition, UW Madison researchers across campus collaborate with our team and families to complete relevant research in these areas.
